Should I refinance my home mortgage if the current fixed rate is a full 1% less than my current fixed rate?

Should I refinance my Colorado home mortgage if the current fixed rate is a full 1% less than my current fixed rate?

The current rate is 5.6% and my current mortgage is 6.6%. I got the mortgage 2 years ago.

Anytime your Colorado home mortgage is 1% higher than what you can get in the market. You should always check and see if it will save you money!

Testimonials
Thank you very much for providing the excellent service that Adrian had bragged about. We have probably done about ten home finances and refinances in the past 25 years and I can absolutely say that your service has greatly exceeded any of our previous experiences. (I am still amazed that a loan person would actually help us close a home purchase offer when the seller's agent called! I've told almost everyone I know about that one!) You can bet that your name will be the only one on our list for referals if anyone asks?. Sincerely, Jim and Carol B.
It was a very pleasurable experience to have Ben Yost as my buyer's loan officer. This is the first time in my three years as a realtor that I have worked with a loan officer who really cares about his clients and future business. Ben is now the #1 lender I will refer my clients to! J.Hageman
I was surprised Ben Yost came to closing! That might be standard procedure for him, but I'm sure that's not standard to the industry! His team gets five stars from me! Ben P.
Great Job! I was very impressed with the weekly updates and professionalism provided by Ben and his staff. Also, in getting things completed when the pressure is on. Vern H.
